Our History
We’ve dedicated ourselves to creating homes and commercial spaces across British Columbia, Washington, and Alberta since 2003. We’ve built single-family homes, townhomes, condos, shopping centres, and master-planned communities in cities like Vancouver, Victoria, Seattle, and Calgary. We’re proud of what we have achieved, and as we look to the future, here’s a look at some of our key milestones that have shaped our journey.
2003
PCRE Group is founded.
2004
PCRE principals become general partners and majority owners of Apex/Excel, a Calgary-based builder. PCRE partners with Bellvue, WA company Continental Properties to launch a Seattle, WA fund for condo and apartment projects.
2005
Broke ground for the first project, a Rona store in Penticton, BC.
2007
Developed Lakeshore Towers in Penticton, BC.
2010
Partnered with Continental Properties on Lake Boren Townhomes in Washington, starting a successful rental apartment development.
2011
Launched Gablecraft Homes, focusing on Vancouver Island, Okanagan, and Calgary projects.
2015
Began construction of homes in Royal Bay, in Colwood, BC.
2017
Merged Apex/Excel into the PCRE family and acquired Royal Bay, accelerating community development.
2023
Completed two significant projects at Royal Bay: The Commons Retail Village and The Meadows, adding 900 units across 120 acres. Delivered over 950 residential units with Apex/Excel and Continental Properties.
2025
Rebranded as PATH to reflect our evolving mission and commitment to building vibrant communities.
